Welcome to the UK's Puzzle Helper. This site is intended to be of help to all UK puzzlers. At the moment it is limited to Crossword puzzles and Scrabble words but we plan to add other types of brain teasers in the future.
Our database is based on the online dictionary available from WordNet. We have added thousands of additional items, including:
We have tried to ensure that our database entries contain items that are relevant for crossword puzzles. The WordNet dictionary contains thousands of obscure medical and botanical words and phrases in Latin. When was the last time that you saw a crossword that contained "lepidocybium flavobrunneum" or "oxyuranus scutellatus"? We have removed many of these entries in order to make searching faster.
The site also includes Scrabble points search, which returns the points total for valid Scrabble words.
Unlike some other sites, we do not generate revenue from adverts. If you find this website useful and would like to contribute something, please contact us on admin@puzzlehelper.co.uk. However, donations are completely optional.
